EYE RIUM Eye Center officially announced its 'EYE RIUM Protocol,' which it had researched for many years for safe LASEK surgery, at the 19th Congress of Chinese Ophthalmological Society held in Xi'an, China, on the 17th. It shared information on safe residual corneal thickness, standard protocol for pain-free LASEK, and post-operative management methods with local Chinese doctors. The Chinese Ophthalmological Society is the largest and most authoritative ophthalmological society in China, covering areas such as retina, glaucoma, and vision correction surgery.

Dr. Kang Sung-yong, director of EYE RIUM Eye Center, who has lectured to Chinese doctors annually, was again invited this year as an authority in vision correction surgery to give a lecture, sharing his expertise in vision correction surgery and actual surgical cases with Chinese ophthalmologists.

The 'EYE RIUM Protocol' presented in this lecture covers pre- and post-operative management methods for safe surgery and pain-free LASEK, and is significant in that it internationally established the standard for LASEK surgery and demonstrated the 'Medical Hallyu' by transferring medical technology to China.
